This 8 hour Asbestos Worker Initial training course is for any individual who performs field work in regulated asbestos abatement work areas. Workers will learn LDEQ, EPA and OSHA regulations.

An Asbestos Workers must have completed this training annually to maintain accreditation, and have a valid certificate with them at all times while working on qualifying projects. This workshop reviews the lates laws and regulations, It combines lectures and discussions. Overview includes Health Effects, Safe work practices, PPE, and glove bag procedures.

Refresher training for asbestos abatement Worker is required under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986 (AHERA), which is the authority under which EPA issued the EPA Asbestos Model Accreditation Plan and The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ). This course has been granted full approval by the EPA and various States to meet AHERA and ASHARA accreditation requirements for asbestos work in K-12 schools, as well as in public and commercial buildings.
